This document describes the HUS Vacuum Technology AB (hereinafter referred to as HUS) Privacy Policy and explains how we use your personal data (i.e. all personal identifying data on you such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address, which is referred to in general in this policy as “your data”) collected via HUS’s website, customer portal and webshop or when you become a HUS customer via a signed agreement. This Privacy Policy (along with our terms of use) describes how personal data that we collect from you or that you provide will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and methods regarding your personal data and how we process and protect it.
Processing of personal data
All personal data is processed on the basis of the provisions of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR).
You become registered with HUS by ordering products or services. The register contains contact details that you yourself have provided and information about your order. The personal data is used to manage the delivery.
You can feel secure when you provide HUS with your personal data. We implement extensive systematic security procedures on a continuous basis to prevent your data falling into the hands of unauthorised persons.
Information we collect
We may collect and process the following data on you:
- Data you provide by filling in forms on HUS’s website or data you provide us with by other means. This includes data you provide, for example, when you register to download a whitepaper or register for a seminar, a course or in an application for a post at DIAB (e.g. e-mail address, name, address, telephone number, post, geographical location, education and experience). We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our website, webshop or customer portal.
- The data you provide when purchasing products or services or signing an agreement with DIASB. This includes data such as e-mail address, name, address, telephone number, post, geographical location, digital user identity.
- If you contact us, we may save information on the correspondence and your e-mail address, postal address or telephone number, depending on how you have chosen to contact us
- Information about your visits to our website (including but not limited to general information about users who provide access to or use HUS’s website such as number of visitors, persons who have registered on our website, Internet Protocol addresses, browser type, browser language settings, referring/exit websites and web addresses, other browser history, type of platform, number of clicks, domain name, entry pages, viewed pages and the sequence of those pages, amount of time spent on certain pages and date and time).
Marketing
- If you have checked the consent box on the order form to indicate that you wish to receive information on HUS’s products/services and/or newsletter by e-mail, you are consenting to the use of your personal data for that purpose.
- If you subscribe to our information and/or newsletter, we will send them to you by e-mail using the e-mail address you gave. We store it only to enable us to keep in contact with you. You can stop receiving the information and/or newsletter at any time by choosing to unsubscribe directly in the letter. It is also possible to contact us and indicate that you wish to be removed from our records.
We never sell or share your e-mail address and other data to any other party to enable it to be used for marketing or other purposes.
How we use your data
We use your data in the following ways:
- To ensure that content from our website is presented as effectively as possible to you and for the device you are using,
- To provide you with the information you request from us and to recommend relevant products which, in our opinion, may be of interest to you, provided that you have given your consent to be contacted for such purposes. We will also use your data to send out e-mail reminders, information on new product releases and to request your feedback and comments. These e-mail messages will contain links for managing settings and, where applicable, links to unsubscribe that you can use if you no longer wish to receive these e-mail messages
- To inform you of changes in the service that you have purchased or subscribed to
- To provide HUS’s HR department with information about you and your potential interest in jobs posted on HUS’s website. We can use your data to contact you and for recruitment purposes.
Legal basis
The legal basis for the personal data processing is:
- Balancing of interests in the case of mailings of offers or news about updates of products and services as well as invitations to activities such as training courses, seminars, etc. The mailing ceases immediately when you unsubscribe. However, the data may be saved in our records for up to 1 year after you have unsubscribed for quality assurance purposes.
- Legal obligation is used when other laws such as the Bookkeeping Act, etc. require us to store the information for a particular period.
- Consent is used in cases where you have chosen of your own accord to agree to allow us to store your personal data in order to manage and deliver information, products or services. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, whereupon our processing of your personal data ceases unless another obligation such as legal obligation or performance of an agreement specifies otherwise. Nevertheless, the data may be stored in our records for up to 1 year for quality assurance purposes.
- Performance of an agreement is used in cases where you order or have ordered products and/or services from DIASB. Depending on the nature and scope of the product or service, the period for storage of the data after the expiry of the agreement may vary.
Transfer of your data to other countries or third parties
We never sell or share your e-mail address and other data to any other party to enable it to be used for marketing or other purposes.
Nevertheless we may share your personal data with third parties if we are required to share specific information when we determine that such disclosure is necessary in order to comply with legal obligations or to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements or to protect HUS’s interests or security.
HUS may store your data with personal data processors located within the EU (storage and/or backups).
Amendments to this Privacy Policy
We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our websites. It may be the case that we make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Extracts from registers, correction or removal of Personal Data
HUS is the Personal Data Controller for the processing of personal data. You are entitled, once a year free of charge, to obtain information on what personal data exists on you in HUS’s business.
